Not all screw extractors are the same!
The technology of the screw extractor has a long history and was once an essential part of every mill. The simple principle of centrifugal force and the difference in rolling behavior make this technology very effective.
The rounder the seeds are, the further outwards they roll in a spiral-shaped sheet that is bent around an axis, while broken grain, for example,
in the spiral extractor cannot accelerate as quickly and remains in the center of the chute.
As this technology only works with gravity, rolling behavior and centrifugal force, no electrical connection is necessary.
The screw extractors (also called spiral extractors, spiral extractors or spiral chutes) are made from aluminum sheet as an economical lightweight construction in order to make the otherwise cost-intensive technology accessible to the farmer's budget. There are 2 models available in heights of 140cm or 170cm. The screw sorters have a diameter of 50cm. The performance varies, depending on the material, between 200-500kg/h. With a lower throughput, the result is more accurate.
We have already tested various materials with the screw sorter and have come to the conclusion that the height of the sorter is crucial for the result. For example, the separation of broken grain from ball weeds (selected material from a cell sorter) works more accurately with the smaller model. On the other hand, the separation of materials with similar rolling behavior works better with the larger model.
You can find a video of the spiral sorter in use on our homepage.
140cm spiral sorter € 2,154 including VAT
170cm spiral sorter € 2,514 including VAT
Price refers to the 140cm model.
Through years of testing with countless different crops, we are constantly working to improve this technology even more in terms of efficiency and comfort. Unfortunately, our knowledge is being taken away by free riders and advertised in the cheapest offers. These cheaply offered models are similar to our design, but are not identical.
Andreas Auer Landmaschinenhandel, your contact when it comes to grain cleaning!
We don't just sell machines, we also impart knowledge!
In our technical center, you are welcome to test both models with your own material in order to find the right model for your area of application.
We are happy to answer any questions and provide a specific offer.
Open house with tours and demonstrations in the Gaßles technical center every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Next dates: January 15, 2025, January 22, 2025, January 29, 2025, February 5, 2025, February 12, 2025, February 19, 2025, February 26, 2025.
